ETHANOL

Ethyl alcohol, or ethanol, is a colourless, highly soluble liquid used as a solvent and thinner. It is commonly used in household cleaners, personal care products, printing inks and adhesives. In addition, ethyl alcohol is a major industrial chemical, used in the synthesis of other organic chemicals and as an additive in automotive petrol. It is also a component of alcoholic beverages such as beer, wine and distilled spirits.
