EVA

Description

Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) is a copolymer resin used for its light weight and excellent foaming properties. This material is used in footwear, sports and leisure applications. The material is also used as a sealing solution in packaging because of its flexibility and resistance to low temperatures.

Properties and features

EVA is highly flexible, ideal for applications requiring malleability and shock absorption, such as shoe soles, protective coatings and soft toys. Its transparency or translucency means it can be used in packaging films and medical products.

It is very easy to handle and transport, making it ideal for industrial applications.

EVA is advantageous for applications exposed to moisture (swimming pool linings, roofing materials).

EVA melts at relatively low temperatures, down to -75°F, making it easy to process and mould.

EVA is durable and resistant to wear, impact, chemicals and UV rays, extending the life of products. It is also tear and puncture resistant, making it reliable for protective applications and robust packaging.

EVA has a high coefficient of friction, providing good grip and traction, making it ideal for shoe soles, non-slip flooring and sports materials.

EVA products can be reprocessed into new products after their initial use, reducing waste and environmental impact.

It absorbs vibrations and sound impacts, making it ideal for sound insulation in floor mats and building materials.
