Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) is a clear, light yellow, viscous liquid and soluble in water. It is one of the most significant anionic surfactants, classified as a fatty alcohol sulfate salt. Like other fatty alcohol sulfates and fatty alcohol ether sulfates, SLES is used for its surfactant properties, with molecules featuring both hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts.
