Le Val d’Hazey, March 5, 2024 – Skytech, a French Greentech player specializing in the production of premium recycled resins for manufacturers and plastics processors, and Groupe Snetor, a major player in the distribution of plastic raw materials and chemicals worldwide, announce the signing of a distribution contract for recycled ABS and PS.
Snetor has been active in the distribution of plastic raw materials (polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, expanded polystyrene, etc.) and chemicals for over 40 years in Europe, Africa & the Middle East and Latin America. The group operates in over 100 countries with a varied customer base of converters (injectors, extruders, film producers…) and local distributors. As of 2019, Snetor is mobilizing for a transition to a circular economy by creating the Snetor Green brand and thus initiating an ambitious Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach.
For several years now, Skytech has been a major player in the recycling of high-quality ABS, PS and PP resins, with technical performances identical to those of virgin resins. At its new production site in Val d’Hazey, the company has added a production capacity of up to 40,000 tons to meet the growing needs of its customers. In 2022, the Snetor Group and Skytech have progressively initiated a commercial partnership for the supply of recycled ABS and PS. The signing of this contract confirms the mutual trust and cooperation between the two companies, which are betting on an acceleration in demand for recycled plastics worldwide by 2024.
